Overview
GlobeIQ is a daily country-guessing game. We collect only what is necessary to make the game work. We do not sell your data.
What We Collect
- Email address — only if you sign in via Google OAuth or magic link. Used solely to identify your account.
- Game progress — your atlas (countries collected), current streak, and daily puzzle state. Stored in your browser's localStorage and, if signed in, synced to our database.
- Cookies & local storage — used to remember your game state between sessions. No tracking cookies are set by GlobeIQ itself.
- Basic usage data — anonymous page-view data may be collected by third-party services listed below.
How We Use It
- Saving and restoring your atlas and streak across devices (signed-in users only)
- Delivering the daily puzzle and tracking your progress
- No marketing emails, no profiling, no data sharing for advertising purposes by us
Third Parties
Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your email and game data are stored on Supabase servers. See Supabase's privacy policy.
Google (OAuth) — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google's authentication service is used. See Google's privacy policy.
Google AdSense — we display ads powered by Google AdSense, which may use cookies and browsing data to show relevant ads. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
Flag CDN (flagcdn.com) — flag images are loaded from flagcdn.com. No personal data is sent.
Data Retention
LocalStorage data stays on your device until you clear it. If you delete your account or request removal, your data is deleted from our database within 30 days.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also sign out and clear your browser storage to remove all local data immediately.
